October 31, Wednesday	Web registration begins for all currently enrolled students continuing for Spring 2008 classes.
November 13, Tuesday	Web registration begins for all transfer, transient, readmits and all others not previously registered for Spring 2008 classes. New student Web registration begins for Spring 2008 classes through new student orientations (by appointment only).
November 19, Monday	Dual enrollment registration begins for Spring 2008 on-campus classes.
November 22-25	Thanksgiving holidays.  College closed.
December 7, Friday	All required documents must be received by financial aid to ensure funding of tuition and fees at the beginning of the Spring term.  Documents received after this date will be processed in the order they were received by the financial aid office.  Students should pay for their classes by the established pay dates, as reimbursement will be made based upon eligibility.
December 12, Wednesday	All tuition and fee payments due for Spring 2008 term classes.  All class registrations for spring term not secured with full payment or financial aid will result in students having their class schedules cancelled. All awarded financial aid (excluding loans) will be available to pay for course costs, books and authorized supplies. First day students may apply for a deferment and/or short-term loan if they have a loan that you has been awarded and other aid is not enough to cover tuition, fees or books. Books may be charged against awarded financial aid in the MCC Bookstores if financial aid (excluding loans) is greater than course tuition and fees.  Students should review their account balance on line.  If they have a credit balance, they should go directly to the MCC Bookstore on either campus to purchase books and authorized supplies.

January 2, Wednesday	College offices open at 8:00 am.
January 3, Thursday	Last day new student applications (including readmission applications) will be accepted for Spring 2008 term for classes that begin January 7-11. Faculty return.
January 4, Friday	Last day of new student orientations for Spring 2008 classes starting January 7 – 11, 2008. Last day for submission of residency documentation for Spring 2008 term. Student services offices open 8 am – 7 pm.
January 7, Monday	Spring 2008 classes begin. Students may add/drop classes with a refund (January 7-11).  Students enrolled in short-term or late-start classes have drop date published in the course comments in the class schedule. Deadline to pay any tuition and fee balances not covered by financial aid; including Florida Prepaid and Bright Futures scholarships. Last day Florida College Entry Level Placement Test (FCELPT) offered to new students for classes that begin January 7-11.
January 11, Friday	Last day for students to add/drop classes that began January 7-11 with a refund.  No refunds after January 11. Last day for students to submit third attempt fee waiver forms for Spring courses.
January 17, Thursday	First day student loan checks that have been received from the lender are available for returning students.
January 18, Friday	Last day to change course from credit to audit status. Last day to use financial aid in the bookstore. Deadline to register for February 16 CLAST.
January 21, Monday	Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.  College closed.
January 25, Friday	Last day to apply for Spring 2008 graduation.
February 4, Monday	Financial aid grant and scholarship balances posted to student MCCOne Card accounts.
February 5, Tuesday	First day student loan checks that have been received from the lender are available for first time borrowers.
February 15, Friday	Faculty/Staff Development Day.  No day classes or academic support labs.  Classes scheduled 4 pm and later will meet as usual. An “I” grade not previously completed will be changed to an “F” on the student’s permanent record.
February 16, Saturday	CLAST (by reservation only).
February 26, Tuesday	MCC Bradenton Open House.
March 4, Tuesday	MCC Venice Open House
March 10-16	Spring Break.  College closed.
March 19, Wednesday	Last day to withdraw without academic penalty (no refund) for Spring 2008 classes that started the first week of the term (January 7-11).
April 4, Friday	Deadline to return graduation attendance form to guarantee participation in May 2, 2008 Spring Commencement ceremonies.
April 25, Friday	Spring 2008 classes end. Honors Convocation, 12:30 pm MCC Venice, 7 pm Neel Performing Arts Center, MCC Bradenton.
April 28 – May 1	Final examinations for Spring 2008 classes.
May 2, Friday	Final grades due at 5:00 pm for all Spring 2008 classes. Spring Commencement 7:00 pm, Manatee Civic Center.
May 6, Tuesday	Spring 2008 grades posted to student transcripts.

Summer Term 2008

April 21, Monday	All awarded financial aid (excluding loans) will be available to pay for course costs, books and authorized supplies. First day students may apply for a deferment and/or short-term loan if they have a loan that has been awarded and other aid is not enough to cover tuition, fees or books. Books may be charged against awarded financial aid in the MCC Lancer Bookstore if financial aid (excluding loans) is greater than course tuition and fees. Students should review their account balance online. If there is a credit balance, they should go to the MCC Lancer Bookstore to purchase books and authorized supplies.

May 16, Friday	Last day to use financial aid in the Lancer Bookstore. Last day to change course from credit to audit for Summer A and C classes.
