DRC Support /Success Services

The Disabled Resource Center’s (DRC) strives to advocate for and provide support services to disabled individuals to increase their chances for success and to empower them to reach their full potential. Disabled individuals are free to chose which DRC services, if any, they wish to use. The center tries to stream line and coordinate the services of other campus offices and resources and offers a “one Stop” approach to enrollment at the college. The DRC also works with a variety of public and private agencies serving disabled populations (Community Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Division of Blind Services, United Cerebral Palsy, etc.) so that they best meet the educational needs of the individuals and to facilitate the disabled students' integration into the main stream of college life. In addition to coordination of services, the DRC offers information and resources on a broad range of topics, advocacy, and individualized personal, academic and vocational Guidance and counseling to assist disabled individuals to maximize their potential and to pursue meaningful occupations based on their unique interests, needs and abilities.
