The Traffic Safety Institute offers classes to a wide range of people of all different ages. Classes and programs offered include: Adult Road Refresher Program The Traffic Safety Institute is pleased to partner with Suncoast Defensive Driving School. Suncoast offers a comprehensive Senior Driving Program in our area, designed to assist seniors to drive safely longer.Advanced Driver Improvement (A.D.I.) For individuals who have had their driver license suspended for too many points or have been court ordered to attend a long term traffic school. Business and Industry Numerous Fortune 500 companies, transportation fleets, and small businesses have received significant benefits by using DTA programs delivered by The MCC Traffic Safety Institute to minimize lost profit from direct and indirect company losses associated with vehicular crashes. Child Restraint Violation? For individuals who have received a ticket for violation of the Child Restraint law. Driving While License Suspended? The Traffic Safety Institute offers this class to provide individuals arrested for driving with suspended or revoked licenses a step-by-step guide to restoring their driving privileges DUI School DUI (Driving Under the Influence) Levels I and II for DUI offenders. First Time License? D.A.T.E. (Drug Alcohol Traffic Education) class for all first time driver license applicants. Florida Mature Driver Cousre The goal of the insurance discount class is to help mature drivers within the state of Florida maintain their safe and defensive driving skills, obtain auto insurance discounts, understand their abilities and learn techniques to compensate for changes. Also provides defensive driving training for court-ordered seniors. Once completed you will be eligible for a mandatory Insurance Discount good for 3 years. (Florida Statute 627.0652)
Get Your Driving Record! We now offer Consumers and Businesses the ability to order their Motor Vehicle Driving Records Online for only $24.95. Most states can get their reports within 2-3 days! Got A Ticket? B.D.I. (Basic Driver Improvement) class for people who have received a traffic ticket for a moving violation or required to take a four hour Traffic Collision Avoidance Course. IDI (8-Hour Court Ordered) Students would select this option ONLY if they have been ORDERED by the court to attend an 8-hour driver improvement course (sometimes also referred to as an "IDI Course"). Juvenile Shoplifting/Petty Theft Course This course is designed to help offenders, age 13-17, examine their behavior, attitude and actions. Students will learn how to identify the steps to take in order to make a positive change in their lives. MAY BE COURT ORDERED. Online Classes The Traffic Safety Institue offers students the option of taking some of our courses online. Red Light Safety Course This driver improvement class is four hours of classroom instruction for individuals who have been required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to attend a Red Light Safety Course to maintain or reinstate their driving privileges. Special Supervision Services Provide Special Supervision Services to multiple offenders with a 5 year or 10 year revocation, who demonstrate trustworthiness to drive again on a restricted basis. Victim Impact Panel The Traffic Safety Institute also offers the Victim Impact Panel (VIP) in Sarasota County that provides DUI offenders with an up close and personal chance to see the human tragedies that are caused by driving while impaired. |
