Transfer Student
Steps:
1. Submit an application for Admissions form

Be sure to submit the residency affidavit and all supporting documents prior to the first day of the term you plan to attend.

For those who prefer to download and print an application may do so without any application fee. However, international students who are on some type of visa issued by our government or international students who do not have a visa or a current visa or a U.S. social security number are required to download the MCC Admissions Application and submit it by mail or in person and pay the $75.00 (USD) application fee. The $75 fee must be included with the application.
2. Apply to Federal and State Financial Aid

Students who meet federal and state income eligibility requirements may be qualified to receive financial aid to help pay for college expenses. The process for determining eligibility can take several weeks, so it is strongly recommended that students begin the process well in advance of the deadline date. This includes submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) at www.fasfa.com and submitting all required documents. Students who have not done so will be required to pay their fees and wait for reimbursement, provided they qualify for aid.
3. Take the Placement Test

Transfer who have not completed English and/or math at another institution are required to take the Placement Test if you wish to register for a course that requires an English, math or reading as a prerequisite. A practice test may be found on our web site at: www.mccfl.edu/practicetest.
4. Provide High School Transcripts/GED

Request an official high school transcript be sent to the Registrar Office at MCC or bring in a copy of your GED scores. A high school transcript is required of all applicants seeking to earn a degree from MCC unless an Associate of Arts degree or higher has already been earned. Click here to download the form
5. Transfer Credits
Transfer credits will be processed once the Registrar Office receives all transcripts from your prior institution(s). Official transcripts must be mailed directly from the college to the Registrar Office. Hand-carried transcripts cannot be accepted for official transfer evaluations. 6. Complete your Residency Classification

Complete your residency classification by providing appropriate documents and signed affidavit (see current college catalog) to the Registrar Office prior to the tuition due date.
7. Pay Your Fees

8. Get your Parking Decal, Student ID

9. Purchase your Books

Books can be purchased by presenting a copy of your schedule and student ID to the Bookstore on either the Bradenton or Venice campus.
