Since 1966, the Neel Performing Arts Center has served as a cultural center for Manatee and Sarasota counties hosting both college and community sponsored events.
Newly remodeled in 1999, the auditorium features a 65- by 40- foot stage, seating for 837, as well as wheelchair accessible seating and restrooms.
The magnificent Elizabeth M. Eaton Memorial Pipe Organ, a 50-rank, 3-manual instrument built by master craftsman Charles McManis, was rededicated in October, 2000.
Located on the north side of the building is the new Chamber Theatre, which is the temporary home of Studio 84 Productions, the MCC student theatre company.
All tickets for community-sponsored events are handled by the producing organizations and are not delivered to the Neel Box Office until one hour before the performance.
Each producing organization’s box office number is available by calling the Neel Performing Arts Center Box Office one month prior to the event.
Tickets for the college events are available ten days in advance at the Neel Performing Arts Center Box Office weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and one hour in advance of each performance.
Most MCC Music events feature "open seating".
MCC Theatre events have reserved seating.
