Guide to Grammar and Writing

[ click ] This site is a comprehensive on-line grammar review with interactive exercises and quizzes. Just select the appropriate topic from the pull-down menu.

The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation

[ click ] While not as comprehensive as the Guide to Grammar and Writing, Blue Book is an excellent on-line resource for punctuation. It also covers a few finer points of grammar not addressed in the Guide to Grammar and Writing.
 

Relationship Word Essentials

[ click ] Understanding the relationships words is crucial to succeeding on the exit exam. Be sure you know the difference among the three types of relationship words (FANBOYS, subordinating conjunctions, and transitions). You must also know what relationship each word expresses (cause, effect, comparison, contrast, addition, time, example, condition).

Valencia Community College

[ click ] Valencia Community College provides an interactive practice exam for grammar skills.  Although some of the questions are the same as those contained in MCC’s practice exams, there are enough that are different to make taking this exam worthwhile.
