A.A.S. Drafting Design Technology [2515]
Program Manager: TBA
The graduates of this program will possess an understanding of engineering fundamentals and drafting on the drawing board as well as on a CAD system. Since drafting is the universal language of the engineering world, graduates may expect to find many opportunities in various industries where electronic, architectural and mechanical drafting and design are involved. Such positions as mechanical draftsman, electromechanical draftsman, printed-circuit draftsman, junior designer, engineering technician and engineering aide are typical of those which may be secured.
Program Entrance Requirements
To be admitted to the Drafting and Design Technology Degree Program, a student must:
- Achieved a level of mathematics proficiency which qualifies the student for entry into MTB 1321 or higher, as demonstrated by the standard placement criteria currently in use at MCC;
- Achieved a level of English and reading proficiency which qualifies the student for entry into ENC 1101 or higher as demonstrated by the standard placement criteria currently in use at MCC.
